Re: In Recognition of International Women’s Day
To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write this letter in recognition, celebrating International Women’s Day, and that of programs that support the diversity of all women in the community. There are many reputable services, that I have advocated as well as participated in for the past thirty years, however, I would like to mention the invaluable work that Y.W.C.A’s Women Alive Program exhibits.
The Y.W.C.A.’s predecessor Executive Director (Jill Rumble) had a vision that only recently came to fruition with the efforts of the current Executive (Denise Doyle).
YWCA’s services empowers women through advocacy and healing for individuals who have experienced barriers to improving their health and well-being. Recipients have benefited greatly through the Y.W.C.A.’s holistic healing while they maintained high-quality service standards while embracing an ecological, feminist, anti-racism and culturally sensitive framework.
The Y.W.C.A’s countless contributions are a testament to the community.
