The 119th Annual General Meeting of YWCA Hamilton was a great success with over 70 members, volunteers, staff, community partners, and board members present.

Keynote speaker Dr. Arlene Bierman, the lead investigation of the province-wide  POWER study, shared her findings of the study, which was subsequently released on the same day.

The most surprising findings of the study was the evidence that suggested that women with less income and lower education are far more likely to experience chronic pain, illness and a shorter life expectancy.
